Why Choose Lions?

100% of funds donated by the public through fundraising go directly to the projects for which they are intended.

Supporting our local community and beyond.

Lions Club of Brisbane Chinese Inc. was established in 1996 by a group of Chinese leaders in the community. BC Lions have been active in community service for over 28 years, and today they are one of the most active clubs in the Brisbane area under the leadership of President Jonathan Law in 2022-2023.

Over 1.4 million Lions across the globe are stepping up to serve their communities during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. These new challenges have changed the way we live, but our dedication to helping those in need is as strong as it was when we first opened our doors more than 100 years ago.

Youth Development

Young people are a dynamic force for good. We’re more than a century into service, and committed as ever to sustaining our impact over the next 100 years. That’s why we devote ourselves to serving youth as beneficiaries, youth as partners, and empowering youth as service leaders.

Medical Research

Lions Australia has a proud history in Medical Research, including the bionic ear and cervical cancer vaccine, Gardasil. We also inspired a young Fred Hollows and continue to provide funding for a range of research initiatives involving diabetes and autism. Support for Communities

Volunteering is critical to keeping our communities well and functioning and for 75 years since 1947, Lions have been supporting communities across Australia.

“BC Lions is very supportive and active in our community in many charitable causes.”
